"As expected, the morning fog lifted, skies cleared and we were treated to a partly sunny and mild afternoon. Clear skies are forecast tonight as high pressure builds back across the region. We expect sunshine to continue for a while tomorrow but look for increasing cloudiness later in the afternoon. Another area of low pressure is likely to bring rain back to the area on Thursday and Thursday night. Scattered showers will linger through a good portion of Friday.
Over the weekend, sunshine will be at a premium Saturday with mostly cloudy skies the mostly likely outcome. On Sunday, a cold front will cross the area, dropping temperatures and creating the opportunity for a few flurries. Another warming trend will develop by Tuesday of next week."

ABOUT PAUL DAVIS
Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Suburban Virginia, located in Manassas, Virginia is part of the nation's foremost remodeling company. Started in 1997 by Paul Golkin, the locally owned company originally specialized in insurance restoration but quickly expanded to include emergency mitigation services and remodeling. From the beginning, the company's mission has been to provide quality, timely service with honesty and integrity.
Prior to opening Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Suburban Virginia, Mr. Golkin had been a principal in the construction industry for over forty-five years, in residential and commercial building as well as in land development. His extensive experience, which includes over 10,000 residential units, has provided the solid basis for the company's growth and reputation.
The Remodeling Division was a natural outgrowth of the work performed every day by the Insurance Division. For many years, our insurance clients would recognize the quality of our work and would then commission us to create new kitchens or bathrooms, renovate the interior spaces or add on rooms to expand the use and function of their home. This division is capable of taking a project from a conception to a reality while focusing on the client's needs and budget. In partnering with top class designers and qualified craftsmen, we provide the ultimate and most complete design/build experience.
Whether working with insurers or remodeling clients, Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Suburban Virginia continues its tradition of honesty, integrity, and quality work.

Mold & Mildew Damage...
MOLD DAMAGE, WHAT TO DO?
Mold and mildew are naturally occurring and are everywhere in our environment. When the amount of mold in our homes exceeds what is normal, we tend to take notice. Regardless of its health effects, none of us want excessive mold in our homes. Mold needs moisture to grow, and if you’ve discovered a mold problem, the first step is to find the moisture source. Routine homeowner maintenance is crucial to avoiding the buildup of moisture in your home. Proper ventilation and insulation are key components of preventing moisture buildup and mold growth.
At Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling of Suburban Virginia, we require all of our contractors to be certified by either the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in mold removal (applied microbial remediation) or the Association of Cleaning and Restoration (ASCR) as a certified mold professional. We consult with certified hygienists to determine the extent of the mold infiltration and remediation procedures. We have the expertise and experience to contain and remove mold from your home, and restore it back to its original condition. And, you can be assured that mold problems have been properly addressed because after we have completed the work, we use clearance tests to verify that the job was done right.
What do you do if you suspect that you have a mold problem? Here are some important things for you to know and steps you can take to find out more.

I must compliment you on the Paul Davis Restoration & Remodeling staff. They are outstanding! Every individual Ive had the pleasure to come in contact with, both on the telephone and in person, has been an excellent representative of your company. All of them have been more than competent, very professional and extremely pleasant. Discounting the flooded basement, this has been a positive experience. Your representatives reflect well on your company as you have not only met, but exceeded any expectations I could have had.
The carpet is beautiful. Elvis and his man were very professional, and they were here until after 9pm. They never complained about the long day, and they did a great job installing the carpet – I still havent found a seam yet!!!
The important thing was they were so pleasant and set me at ease right away. This was the trickiest part of the renovations in my mind, having to move everything. They were very respectful to our belongings and very efficient. As soon as they came in and got started I knew everything would be alright. Their pleasant and capable manner meant the world to me.
I would like to take the opportunity to tell you about the great experience I had with one of your employees, Mr. Ed Burnell. Due to the heavy snow we had this past winter, my rental property had ice damning which resulted in significant water damage creating a serious mold issue. I did not know where to turn and asked my insurance adjustor if he could recommend an excellent company which had a good reputation for mold remediation. My adjustor recommended Paul Davis Restoration [& Remodeling].
The day that I met your representative, Mr. Ed Burnell, we had a rain storm which was so bad I could hardly see the road while driving to the property. I remember thinking that there was no way a representative was going to show up in such bad weather and was thinking how Id have to take additional time off from work to reschedule the appointment.
Not only did Ed show up on time, he took the time to take tests and explain the situation to me. I was so relieved that the situation was going to be resolved soon. Ed was very kind and it was obvious he was very competent.
After meeting Ed, I asked if he would oversee the process and make sure that everything was taken care of. Ed did not let me down. He was always on top of things and a pleasure to work with.
